Readition is a local-first Markdown reader. It does not require an account, operate a backend service, collect analytics, show advertising, or track you.
Data collection
Readition does not collect personal data or usage data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party account SDKs.
Documents and clipboard
Markdown and text files you choose are processed on your device. Readition accesses clipboard text only after you tap Paste. Your original document is not rewritten by changing its reading edition.
Marks, comments, and preferences
Marks, comments, reading preferences, and the local library are stored on your device. You can remove documents and annotations inside the app. Removing the app deletes its locally stored app data, subject to normal device backup behavior controlled by Apple and your device settings.
Export and sharing
Exported Markdown, HTML, and PDF files leave Readition only when you choose a destination through the iOS share sheet. The destination app or service then applies its own privacy practices.
Soundscapes
Optional soundscapes are generated and played locally. They are not streamed, and no listening activity is collected.
